I went with a more simple look this time around. I finally found a wordpress theme I could work with that was a total mess, and just tweaked it to my likings.

Next week is my last week of ground school! It’s flown by. Tuesday we’re doing the practice exam, and on Thursday we’re taking it up and doing review. The real exam will be written in Toronto in a few months. I’m so nervous for it, since I feel like I haven’t learned as much as the rest of the class, since they’ve all been up for flight lessons and I haven’t yet. I need to study, study, study!

My cousin’s wedding went awesome. I’m happy that I got some good pictures, and I hope she is happy with them too. I’m still going through and editing them (there’s well over 800 pictures). I’ve uploaded a few on flickr.

Things at work aren’t going to well. I feel as though it’s last summer all over again, except with more people trying to bring me down. It’s hard not to care what other people think when you’re surrounded by it everyday. So for now, I’m just showing up, doing my job, and taking home a pay check. *sigh*

I finally threw together a new layout since I had the previous one for over a year. I’m not really digging it, though. But whatevs, it’s staying for now.

My Christmas and New Years went pretty well. Christmas was spent with family; opening presents in the morning, having a big breakfast, then over to my aunt’s for a turkey dinner… with TONS of desserts. Speaking of which, I’ve totally gained 5lbs since I’ve been out of work. Not doing anything + eating lots of junk = bad Amy I need to change that!

For New years I had one of my good friends come to my place for some drinking, hot tubbing and dancing. We started early, so we barely made it past midnight. I think I passed out around 12:30. Ha! But it was fun. The day after I think we both took it easy, I drove her home around noon and I spent the rest of the day lounging on the couch watching movies.

I’m still not back at work yet, but I have been working part time with my sister and her job doing clerical work as well as cleaning. I like it there, but I can’t wait to start painting again. I think it will still be some time before it starts back up.

I don’t think I’ve posted this on here yet, but I did on LJ quite awhile ago… I’m going to be an aunt. My lil’ sister is having a baby, due this summer (I think the due date is July 7th… but don’t quote me on that).

Oh, and I just got an email back from the local pilot instructor about when classes start and costs. They start in March so I’m hoping I can come up with the money for ground school/books in time to start them! I think I need about $570 plus tax. Fingers crossed I can do it!

Ok, I seriously need to get up and do something.

Remember that bet that my dad and I had as to whether or not I could paint the house in 3 days? Well, I did it in two. My boss came by and helped me so we were just flying! And those two days included all the prep work! Soooo I got to tell my dad “told you so!”. I should of put money on it. Damn. Next time. But for now, here’s some before and afters.  My dad bought me winter tires last week since my car is so unsafe to drive in the snow with. The tires I had on were all seasons and I’ve had them for 2.5 years; they were so worn down that the dealership wouldn’t even give them back to me. lol. So I will have to get new ones in the spring. Anyway, I’ve also been having another issue with my car so we asked the dealership to check it out while doing the tires, and it turns out the problem was the wheel bearing on the driver’s side… and it’s bad. So we had to get a part for that, and I need new front breaks. Sooo until my dad fixes my car, I’m not allowed to drive it. Brand new tires, and I can’t even break them in!

I’ve decided not to put up a Christmas layout this year, mainly because I’ve been too lazy to make one. And I doubt I will update before Christmas, so I hope everyone has an awesome holiday!

Girl’s night on Friday was pretty much awesome. It was just Alicia and I, but we had fun. Got caught up on all the small town gossip, watched Twilight (which I ended up falling asleep during. lol), baked cupcakes, ate pizza and drank… a lot.

Alicia had to work the next morning so I headed home early Saturday and spent the rest of the weekend getting caught up on all my shows. The only show I’m not caught up on his Gossip Girl, but the CTV website was giving me issues.

I need to update my gallery. I have many pics to go up, but too lazy to do it. Good ol’ procrastination.

Oh, and did I mention we had snow this morning? Yeah… SNOW! Not cool.

Ahh! I’m slacking at updating. I’ve just been so busy with work and stuff, plus I just have nothing interesting to blog about.

I’m back to work full time, started back this week.  Thirty-seven hours in four days… not bad! I’m also working this weekend for some extra moola (and getting paid in cash!!). I love being busy, but my body is killing me already. I think after this I’m going in the hot tub.

Oh, I’m moving in about two weeks! I’ll be moving in to an apartment in town with a friend of a friend. I can’t wait! I want to get in next weekend to paint my room before moving all my stuff in. I need ideas as to what colour I should paint it… any ideas? It has to be a lighter colour as the room is really small and dark colours will make it seem smaller. I was thinking maybe a beach-themed room? We’ll see.
